Back Up Day for Spring Comp - Sat 6th - IT's ON!!!
At last a solid forecast for the weekend.
We will start setting up for some fun racing this Saturday 10am at Kulim Park. On water by 11am for practice starts and racing.
A mix of racing to suit those on the water and the weather.
* Beach start - gybe - gybe - gybe - finish
* Beach start and then 1st across the line. no corners.
* Timed Flying starts - Gybe - Gybe - finish
* Maybe a GPS speed challenge
All racing to be doable and fun. Regular briefing and tactics sessions.
If we have headed out when you arrive then read the briefing board on
the shore, sign you name and come and find me in the red powerboat. Ill
fill you in on any changes and tactics.

Monday 17th UPDATE - 2012 Spring Racing - Register now
Hi mighty Windsurfers,
What a good weekend for wind, my crystal ball is predicting decent easterlies next Saturday and the NorEast on Sunday so bright skies on Saturday - maybe not on sunday.
Hey ho wind is the important part.
If you can beach start/ windsurf slowly and then get in the straps and blast, gybe and come back then you’ve all the skills you need.
Event supporters will have a range of kit to look at and try.
When : NEXT Weekend, 22nd, 23rd September
1030 Briefing and top tips to see you flying past others.
1st Race starts at 12pm (earlier if the conditions are on)
Off the water around 3pm.
Where: Easterlies will mean starting at Kulim Park.
Cost: $10

RSX class is initiating legal action against ISAF

"The International Kiteboarding
Association (IKA) has been informed that the International RS:X Class
Association Ltd is taking legal action against the International Sailing
Federation (ISAF), based on the fact that ISAF has selected
Kiteboarding and not Windsurfing as Olympic sailing event for the Games
in Rio de Janeiro in 2016.
We feel shocked that an international class, being bound by ISAF
constitution, rules and regulations, is even considering legal action
against the world governing body because of a decision that has been
taken in a
Initiating legal action in the middle of the Olympic Games might
damage not only the performance of the affected sailors but also the
reputation of sailing in general.
The International Kiteboarding Association is fully aware of the
ongoing discussions about Olympic Events and Equipment and is respecting
ISAFs internal processes."
